Online Fundraising

When you visit www.relayforlife.org/southportlandme and register for Relay, you also have a powerful fundraising tool at your disposal.  In your Participant Center, you can easily send emails to friends, family, coworkers, and everyone you know, sharing your story, and asking for a donation.

Not sure what to write?  That's okay.  There are plenty of sample letters you can choose from, or you can write your own!

Each email has a link that recipients can click on, and they'll be directed to your personal fundraising page, where they can make a donation to your fundraising efforts.

In addition to making a "regular" donation online, people now have the option to buy luminaria online as well!  What better way to remember those we have lost and celebrate the ones who are winning the battle?

Are you a member of Facebook?  We now have a great way to help you spread the word about Relay on Facebook!  In your Participant Center, click on "Fundraise With Facebook" to add a special Relay For Life fundraising application to your profile page!

Please consider this as another powerful fundraising tool in your tool belt.  Even if you choose not to use this website to help you raise money for the American Cancer Society, we ask everyone to at least register here and join or start a team.  Communication with our Relay friends is very important, and we send news and updates only to the people registered here.
