Tips For A Quick & Easy Bank Night

  1. Encourage your team members to take CASH to their bank prior to Bank Night and write a check payable to the American Cancer Society!  Of course we’ll always accept cash, but it would be a huge help if every team member turned in all of those hard sought dollars into the bank and wrote one check to ACS!
  2. Collect all of your team members' fundraising donations prior to Bank Night. That way you can turn it in and not have to worry about all that stress on Relay night! We want to get as many donations as we can in the bank prior to the Relay.  That way, the registration committee can be more attentive to your other Relay needs on the 13th & 14th!
  3. Grab all of their Luminaria Forms, too! The sooner we get them, the easier it is to get the names ready to be displayed during the Luminaria Ceremony.
  4. Here’s how you can organize your fundraising donations to make things quick & easy on June 9:
    • Turn in one envelope per team member with all of their donations and luminaria forms inside (any kind of envelope will do!).
    • On the outside of the envelopes, we only need the following information: (1)Team member name (2) Team name (3) Amount of actual fundraising donations in the envelope that evening (don’t include corporate matching funds in your total, unless there is cash/check enclosed that night!)
    • You don’t need to include money already turned in or money donated on-line. We’ll already have that total on Bank Night, and we will just be adding the amount you are turning in that evening.
    • For each team member, all money can be turned in using 1 envelope! You don’t need to separate out their registration, luminaria money, or fundraising dollars. If you are including their registration fee, just write that on the front of the envelope – simple as that!
  5. Youth Teams should bring their signed Youth Participation Waivers and Chaperone Agreements to Bank Night.  Remember, you’ll need a waiver signed by the parent/guardian of every youth participating. You also need 1 adult chaperone (over 25 years old) for each 5 youth participating. You can turn these in to Registration on Bank Night.
  6. View the campsite layout prior to Bank Night. We are trying to contact teams to choose campsites prior to Bank Night, but we won’t connect with everyone. If you haven’t already chosen a campsite, think about which section you’d like to be in and have some ideas about what you’d prefer. This will make the process quicker for everyone!
  7. Bring your questions about Relay! Committee members will be on hand and available to answer all of your questions about Relay. Bring your list of questions and ask now so you’ll be all set on the 13th!
  8. Please be Patient. We have over 70 teams registered for Relay, so no matter how fast we try to be, it is going to take a little while to collect everyone’s money, get you your t-shirts, and assign remaining campsites!  So relax and chat it up with the other team captains!

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP IN MAKING THIS A QUICK AND EASY BANK NIGHT!!!
